PAGAN ALTAR- THE TIME LORD

Finally available again soon!! After being unavailable for years we are more than proud to present the very first recordings from the mighty and legendary Pagan Altar dating back to 1978!

The first two tracks showcase the bands more straight forward sound in the form of Highway Cavalier and The Time Lord. Both of which after 1000 plus listens still raise the hairs on yer neck. The remaining tracks are the more Doom oriented numbers (Judgement of the Dead,The Black Mass and Reincarnation)that would appear years later on their 1982 Demo.

This will come with new artwork(shown above)issued in gatefold sleeve with photos of the 1978 lineup and lyric sheet. If you missed it originally come hear the first rumblings of the hooded figures dressed in black.

THE LAMP OF THOTH-NO LAUGHING MATTER

The Lamp of Thoth, what you can say about them? There is quite simply no one like them. Unhinged? Maybe. Eccentric? Possibly. Inebriated? Frequently.
Over three years in the making this finally is in pressing mode and will be done shortly. This ep features new studio versions of three old demo tracks, (Skull Fuel, An Oath Sworn on the Ashlar Stone and The Boggard)Dark World (Saint Vitus cover done the bands own way)and three additional tracks(They Dance, Me Man Me Drink and Drinking Song) that simply defy description.

Come hear tales of Deranged Alchemy, Clandestine Occult Rituals and of course heavy drinking as only Heavy Metal can provide.

No Guarantees of anything except metalheads will have fists in the air and a new classic for their shelves while politcally correct types will leave with misty eyes and hurt feelings.

Over 40 minutes of darkness and abuse from the Lamp of Thoth, there is quite simply, no one like them.

EVIL BLOOD- MIDNIGHT IN SODOM LP

Hailing from our ancestral land of Croatia(now Split)Yugoslavia Evil Blood formed in May of 1982 spurred on by the likes of Venom and Motorhead. By the time of they recorded their first demo in late 1983 they were fully obsessed by the newer sounds coming from young upstarts Metallica and Slayer and Midnight in Sodom was unleashed and spread among Eastern Europe.

The Demo was officially released by Luxor in 1989 but has sadly languished in metal obscurity....until now. The lp will include the 9 tracks from Midnight in Sodom and three additional bonus tracks the band recorded in 85/86 and accompanied by a booklet with lyrics, pics,articles and artwork from the period.

This should be ready in Early October and will sit alongside the other masterworks from the same period.

GENOCIDE-THE STENCH OF BURNING DEATH LP

Formed in 1984 out of the ashes of Tempter, Michigan's Genocide burst forth playing their form of brutal thrash spurred on by the likes of Celtic Frost,Discharge and Slayer. Through three demo's the band found themselves with the need to continually increase the speed, heaviness and gore of their out put culminating in the January 1986 WFBE demo(aka The Stench of Burning Death). This would be their final recording before demo'ing the Slaughter of the Innocent(aka Horrified) and changing their name to Repulsion.

Although the Legend of Repulsion has been well documented the full history of Genocide had never been committed to vinyl. So here you go, all three demo's plus four outakes from the WFBE sessions along with a 12 page 12x12 booklet with tons of super early pix,flyers,zine coverage and artwork. Black vinyl as usual and a 500 limitation.

A fitting tribute to the early foundations of a death metal legend.

WITCHFYNDE-ROYAL WILLIAM LIVE SACRIFICE '79

Where were you in 79' when the dam began to burst? Well...Tonight you are transported back to the Royal William Pub in Ipswich to a dark,smoke filled ,ale soaked venue for a pre Give Em Hell gig with the arcane occult masters Witchfynde.

Ten songs including all of the first album(minus Ready to Roll)with Steve Bridges on vocals and showcasing Montalo's amazing and criminally underrated axe work(Including the first ever live rendition of Gettin"Heavy!). Additional songs are the never before recorded Why Dontcha?...The most raging track they ever did and Twilight Lady, a mysterious epic in the vein of Leaving Nadir and Unto the Ages...utterly amazing in its dark atmosphere as is the whole gig. The show fiishes off the Sabbath's Paranoid and the gig is done.
Warning: This is not a soundboard recording and there are drop ins on Give Em Hell and Leaving Nadir and a rougher sound throughout. While a invaluable treasure to us, those with sensitive ears or weak constitutions should avoid.
Comes in black vinyl and a gig reproduction poster. Pure magic for those who still beleive!

ROBESPIERRE- DIE YOU HEATHEN DIE! LP

When you think of musically aggressive bands in the NWOBHM, obviously the first band that would spring to mind would be the mighty VENOM, however, amongst the smaller bands fighting for recognition like SHOCK TREATMENT or BLOOD MONEY, there existed a band so underground, and with a name only whispered in select circles rarely, it become hard to actually believe that they ever existed.

First mentioned publically in Malc McMillan’s NWOBHM encyclopaedia, ROBESPIERRE were noted for their occult leanings, and the fact they were allegedly so fucking heavy. Obviously, by that criteria they were a band that everyone was desperate to hear, fans of already noted heavyweights such as DESOLATION ANGELS, APOCALYPSE, RACE AGAINST TIME, PAGAN ALTAR or HELL have been constantly on the lookout for any known recordings by ROBESPIERRE but until now precious few have ever actually been lucky enough to sample their brand of audio violence or actually know ANYTHING at all about the history of the band!

ROBESPIERRE’s debut 1983 demo deserves its place in the all time unsung NWOBHM heroes hall of fame, alongside RACE AGAINST TIME and DEEP MACHINE, purely on the basis that it’s possibly the heaviest of all NWOBHM demo’s on the strength of its overall atmosphere and delivering an iron fist to the face of the listener. Listening to songs like “DIE YOU HEATHEN” and “BACKS TO THE WALL”, not only do you get insanely heavy metal, but you get what I can only describe as the perfect mix between early VENOM and the first PAGAN ALTAR cassette album! An almost impossible task in the hands of most, but these recordings have stood the test of time and still deliver the goods with a fury! Amazingly recorded on a four track cassette machine by just two lunatics, probably in a beer can littered gloomy attic, and only originally intended for close friends – ROBESPIERRE captured that elusive “NWOBHM” ethos and spirit that so many others failed to do.

However, not content with finally exhuming this amazing piece of British metal history, BBTAD have with the aid of ROBESPIERRES lead guitar maniac David, dragged even more recordings dating from the same year from their shallow grave. Showcasing a slower more controlled style in places, the songs are no less vicious. In particular “MAELSTROM” and “DECAPITATION” are two bloody knuckle classics worthy of investigation.There can be no doubt, that this album and these recordings need to be heard by a wider audience, or for that, we are forever in the debt of David for emerging from his rotting mausoleum and giving BBTAD this incredible opportunity!
